Employees, the CEO of Enaon Ms. Barbara Morgante and the CEO of its subsidiary Enaon EDA, Ms. Francesca Zanninotti and volunteers, who joined forces with the aim of protecting the environment
Enaon, the Sustainable Networks Company, faithful to its commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable future, carried out a voluntary action to clean up “EDEM” beach, in Paleo Faliro in Athens, on the occasion of World Environment Day.
The activity, which was carried out as part of Enaon holistic Corporate Social Responsibility program in collaboration with the environmental non-profit organization All for Blue, involved the company’s employees, the CEO of Enaon Ms. Barbara Morgante and the CEO of its subsidiary Enaon EDA, Ms. Francesca Zanninotti and volunteers, who joined forces with the aim of protecting the environment.
During the activity, more than 40 employees and volunteers managed to collect more than 70 kg of waste, as part of the coastal and underwater cleanup, contributing in practice to the collective effort to protect the marine ecosystem and combat the effects of climate change. At the same time, the group of certified divers of the network consisting of 5 free divers and 4 autonomous divers from the diving boats took care of the underwater cleaning, enhancing the effectiveness of the action.

The activity to clean up “EDEM” beach in Athens, which we implemented in collaboration with All for Blue, is the beginning of a series of similar actions which we aspire to carry out in other regions of the country where we operate. Ms. Francesca Zanninotti, CEO of the subsidiary Enaon EDA, underlined: “With a deep awareness of the responsibility we bear towards the natural and social environment in which we operate, we wish to positively influence and inspire first of all our staff. We are very happy to have participated together with our people and volunteers in the “EDEM” beach cleaning up activity, thus celebrating World Environment Day. “
The action was implemented in collaboration with All For Blue, which is an environmental non-profit organization, with international actions, of a purely educational nature. Its purpose is to inform about the protection of the marine ecosystem and to educate the new generation.
In this context, the members of the All For Blue group have been present for more than 10 years in numerous actions related to the underwater and coastal cleaning of the seas, at a pan-Hellenic and global level.
The results of the cleanings, as well as the number of square meters cleaned, are recorded in the PADI AWARE Foundation global database. To date, the All For Blue team has removed more than 300 tons of waste from beaches and seabeds in organized actions.
The activity to clean up “EDEM” beach is part of Enaon strategy for Corporate Social Responsibility, with initiatives that meet current needs and in full alignment with the vision and mission of the Italgas Group, they strengthen its positive environmental and social footprint of Enaon.
Corporate responsibility for Enaon is an integral part of its business operation. Recognizing its responsibility towards society and the environment, the company implements targeted actions with the aim of contributing, but also raising awareness in society on issues related to the respect and protection of the environment. The success of the voluntary action in Athens marks just the beginning of a series of collaborative efforts to benefit society and the environment.
